Dear NGO Representative,
The United Nations recognizes the fundamental role Civil Societies play in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals and fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. The NGO Branch of the United Nations would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank you for the contributions your organization has made so far to the work of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). We encourage you to continue with your commitment.
As you might be aware, May is the last month for Non-Governmental Organizations to apply for consultative status with ECOSOC if they wish to be considered by the NGO Committee in 2023. Those interested should submit their application and required documents on or before the deadline, 1 June 2022.
We would like to appeal to you to reach your network to join in the global effort. With that objective, we would like to kindly request you to post the following announcement on your website or social media platform encouraging NGOs to apply for ECOSOC consultative status on or before 1 June 2022.
