The Third Annual Meeting of the GISD Alliance will feature moderated discussions on how to align financing with the SDGs, expand the impact of the GISD Alliance, and recover better from COVID-19 through collaboration with the multilateral system.
Following a closed meeting between the members of GISD and the Secretary-General, moderated by Mr. Mark Carney (Special Envoy on Climate Action and Finance), GISD members will participate in a discussion with Member States on their work and deliverables. The Discussion with Member States will be moderated by Ms. Gillian Tett of the Financial Times and will feature a keynote address by Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed.
Finally, Ms. Leila Fourie, CEO of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and Co-Chair of the GISD Alliance and Assistant Secretary-General Elliott Harris will brief the press as guests of the Spokesperson’s Daily Briefing on the outcomes of the Annual Meeting.
