The mission of the “International NGOs’ Club” is to activate qualified representatives of civil society around the world in order to join efforts to achieve 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) till 2030.
Starting in June 1946, the United Nations welcomes the involvement of civil society in the work of the UN system. Currently, for NGOs holding a consultative status with ECOSOC UN in accordance with resolution 1996/31 of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, non-governmental organizations receive a fairly wide range of rights and were authorized to be actively involved with the UN organs and bodies. NGOs can use these opportunities for cooperation with all bodies, committees and departments of the United Nations system to support the implementations of the UN goals and objectives on the states’ territories where NGOs were founded originally.
As part of the 70 session of the UN General Assembly (25-27 September 2015), the international community adopted a new global sustainable development goals of the United Nations till 2030. During the process of discussing new goals and projects that have to be implemented, international community stumbled upon the problem of not having enough of the financial resources to achieve new goals, as well as the necessity of inducing additional intellectual and labor capitals.

For example, to complete new 17 sustainable development goals the implementation of 169 projects solving problems in social and economic countries’ development should be done throughout the world.
According to the UNCTAD calculations for the implementation of the new UN SDG financial investments between 3.3 and 4.5 trillion US dollars will be required. It was included in the outcome document adopted at the Third International Conference on Financing for Development, which took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia earlier this year, the Action Agenda contains a series of bold measures to overhaul global finance practices and generate investments for tackling a range of economic, social and environmental challenges.
Human, intelligent, technical and other resources, which NGOs’ of different States and civil society representatives obtain, had never been so relevant and in demand on the international arena, especially at work of the United Nations.
WOD believes that NGOs representing different countries and specializing each in its area of expertise, should unite their efforts to achieve and monitor the implementation of the UN global Sustainable Development Goals in all regions on our planet. That is the idea behind creating and strengthening the “International NGOs’ Club”.
“International NGOs’ Club” makes it easier for interested qualified NGOs to find each other to combine their opportunities, experiences, resources (intellectual, financial and others), their network of contacts and learned best practices to achieve the prosperity of their country in accordance with the global Sustainable Development Goals till 2030. The Club main objectives are the followings:
• Studying the world’s best practices implementing projects included in the UN SDG
• Finding new private funding resources for the UN SDG projects
• Carry out joint projects that will help the UN SDG implementation and will save the resources
• Carry out activities beneficial to the UN SDG implementation
If you share the outlined above idea and you would like to join the global process of achieving sustainable development goals, please contact us via the “Contact Us” form on this web-site.
